Director, Marketing Communications, Ford of Canada
Connie Fontaine was appointed the Director of Marketing Communications for Ford Motor Company of Canada, Ltd January of this year where she is enjoying the new challenge! She was most recently the Manager, U.S. Lincoln Marketing Communications while also still mentoring the Brand Content and Alliance team for Ford Division. In this position Connie spent her time on the development of the overall strategy for the future of the Lincoln brand, while shepherding the re-launch of “The Lincoln Motor Company” which relied heavily on Brand Content and Experiential Marketing to drive opinion and consideration for the brand.
Connie has worked for Ford Motor Company since 1985 where she has held many sales and marketing organization positions. Her team, most recently, is best known for their ability to collaborate with producers and partners in order to create engaging consumer connections ranging from mass media integrations and product placements to unique grassroots events.
Connie has been responsible for leading the development and execution of many breakthrough ideas including the award-winning Warriors in Pink campaign and the social media phenomenon The Fiesta Movement. Ms Fontaine was recently a recipient of both the Ad Age Media Maven award and the Advertising Women of NY's "Changing the Game" award. In addition her team has been recognized with two 2010 Gold Effie's and multiple awards from the Event Marketer magazine.
