The Cause Marketing Resource Center
It was 21 years ago today (approximately) that cause marketing was first unleashed
on America’s teeming shores in the form of the 1983 American Express Statue
of Liberty Restoration campaign.
To celebrate cause marketing’s 20th anniversary and promote its continued
development, we’ve produced the CMF Resource Center to provide one-stop
access to helpful information from a wide variety of sources.
Cause marketing is the domain of many types of players and the information we’ve
collected reflects that. Some is analytical, some is promotional, some takes
a business perspective, some a nonprofit point of view, some is written in the
parlance of public relations, some in the language of consumer promotion. We
hope you’ll find it all useful.
Finally, our offerings are extensive, but not exhaustive and far from perfect.
